30.01.03No Mission is Impossible for FORUM
The Grove Inn - sold by FORUM within 1 month
It's not often that a Business Transfer Agent is given only 1 month to sell a business. But that is precisely the formidable challenge that was presented to FORUM on 1st November 2002 by proprietors of The Grove Inn in Kings Nympton, Umberleigh, Devon.
"They were enthusiastic about using us" explains Michael Guida, Marketing Director, "but they were not familiar with our company, so they wanted to try us out first. They therefore gave us only a month to prove ourselves!"
And prove ourselves we did. Within only one month of national advertising, online advertising and direct marketing, FORUM achieved the near impossible. On 25th November 2002 a sale was agreed on The Grove Inn at the asking price. Contracts were exchanged on 20th January 2003.
"We may be perceived as the underdogs compared to the market leaders", concludes Michael Guida. "However if you are looking to sell your business quickly, in a confidential manner and with a very personal touch, you should most definitely consider us first."
